Some wise person said once that “the only constant in life is the changing”. And we are agreed with him. It is certain that changing takes you out your comfort zone and it is always a challenge but it also helps you grow. For us, this year changing will surely stir some waves…literally and metaphorically. We hope you are going to “break” these waves together with us.
We want you to be comfortable with everything that is going to happen between 15 and 18 of August so that here are some information about what means Corbu and its surroundings.
Corbu is a village in the district of Constanţa, composed of Corbu, Luminiţa and Vadu. It offers many possibilities for spending time (nautical sports, fishing, motorcross and ATV, cycling circuits) as well as direct access to major touristic attractions such as the Danube Delta, Constanţa, Histria Fortress or Enisaia Fortress. The landscape of the region belongs to the Black Sea seashore (the beach has more than 6 km) and is surrounded by nature-protected areas: Danube Delta, the lacustrian complex Istria – Nuntași – Tuzla, Tașaul lake, Corbu lake, etc. The area is renewed for its flora and fauna.
If Arkadia ShortFest guarantees you are going to enjoy your evenings with movies, exhibitions and parties, you don’t have to be worried to get bored on day-time. Besides the workshops and the debates we are organizing, you can always relax on the beach (Corbu beach or Vadu beach) reading or listening to your playlist or simply exploring the surroundings.
We recommend you greatly to visit the Histria archaeology site and the Archaeology Museum –for a unique history lesson. We are preparing for you right now the details for a super Ciclo-trip to be sure you are going to take advantage of such a trip, so stay with us!
Amateur and professional fishers may appreciate a day spent on Corbu Lake. The same with the photographers, they can find enviable shootings on the board of the lake at the golden-hour.
If you are still here, do not forget how close Cheile Dobrogei (Dobrogei Gorges) are. The landscapes are of an unnatural beauty –natural ditches and gorges cut through the valleys step shores, limestone dug caves, such as „La Adam” and „Peştera Liliecilor” (Bats Cave) filled with special plants and important archaeological discoveries.
Such a delightful short-holyday can only take end with a fine glass of wine. Murfatlar Vineyard expects you to taste up to 9 types of wine together with a special meal and a museum visit.
